PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Market precision equipment and information management, promoting sustainable business growth and profitability.
Ensure the credit worthiness of customers and promote the company s Credit programs as marketing tools.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Promote and support sales of all precision equipment supported by Ag Leader and Precision Planting, and others.

Service existing SFS equipment sold to growers including updates, adjustments, or malfunctions.

Develops and implements marketing plans and sales strategies that generate profitable sales in the assigned territory.

Utilizes target marketing and professional sales techniques including the FS sales interview road map.
Emphasis of appropriate features and benefits of products, and utilizing a contact management system when calling on patrons and prospects.

Develops competitive analysis to maintain a current knowledge of the marketplace and the competition.

Develop a strong relationship with the Crop Specialists to further enhance our ability to improve grower profitability

Follow up on customer complaints, and seeks a reasonable win/win resolution.

Promote the use of the company s Credit programs as a sales tool and helps provide the required information to establish credit.
Works closely with the credit department in collection of accounts receivable.

Obtain a CDL license with a Hazmat Endorsement

Send contact information (CRM) on a timely basis

JOB FUNCTIONS

Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with our Ag Leader, Precision Planting, Crop IMS representatives, and other manufacturer reps.

Stay current with new innovations and offerings within precision equipment and information management.
Attend industry meetings as needed.

Attend new product training for all supported brands

Prompt and accurate billing of all precision equipment sales and service

Manage precision equipment inventory.

Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards.
Adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.

Ensures FS field signs are displayed on customers fields to promote the brands we represent.

Attend Crop Specialist meetings and training programs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Normally requires a college degree in agriculture, marketing, or other business related discipline and sale/marketing experience to demonstrate the ability to generate profitable sales in the assigned territory.

Functional/Language Skills

Ability to trouble shoot and solve mechanical and software issue related to equipment sold by Southern FS.
(yield monitors, auto steers, etc)

The ability to read installation instructions and repair manuals to solve issues pertaining to equipment sold and serviced by Southern FS.

The ability to speak effectively before groups of growers or employees of SFS

Understanding of precision equipment along with sales ability/persuasiveness, face-to-face selling skills, assertiveness, tenacity/persistence, resilience, competitive adeptness, inventory development and management, credit worthiness, and product proficiency.

Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.

Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

Demonstrated core skills including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Other Requirements

Must be self motivated, ability to work extended hours and on call as business conditions warrant.

Must have and maintain a valid driver s license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
