Under the supervision of a Housekeeping Aid Supervisor who provides instructions as well as written assignments, the incumbent completes tasks adhering to infection control universal precautions, when applicable. As a Housekeeping Aid you will perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping duties. Duties include cleaning wards, patient rooms, operating room, food service areas, store rooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms and other areas. Housekeeping Aids sweep, mop, scrub (machine) floors, vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture, empty waste baskets, clean light globes and venetian blinds, wash walls, windows and ceilings (using small ladders as needed), refill toilet tissue, soap and towel dispensers, and move furniture. Housekeeping Aids carry out assignments with a minimum of supervision. NOTE:

Housekeeping Aid, PD#03612A Temporary positions offer health insurance (if the employee is expected to work at least 130 hours per month for at least 90 days) but do not offer life insurance or retirement benefits and may be terminated at any time before the expiration date. The appointment to a Temporary position does not confer eligibility for promotion or reassignment to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to a permanent employment. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The position requires performance of work which involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; continually standing, bending, stooping and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying waste baskets; frequently pushing carts loaded with waste; lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Also performs work which involves moderate to heavy physical effort, such as required to move heavy equipment and furniture, i.e., heavy industrial vacuum cleaners, heavy duty floor scrubbers and buffers, couches, beds, etc., lifting, carrying and/or moving items weighing up to 40-50 pounds. Heavy lifting (45 lbs and over); moderate lifting (15-44 lbs); light lifting (under 15 lbs); light carrying (under 15 lbs); pushing (5 hours); reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; both hands required; walking (up to 6 hours); standing (up to 6 hours); kneeling (up to 2 hours); near vision correctable at 13 to 16 to Jaeger 1 to 4; far vision correctable in one eye to 20/50 and 20/100 in the other.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
