Conducts proposal preparation and administration of assigned contracts on General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) domestic defense supply, production and research and development contracts; under the supervision of a GD-OTS Contracts Manager Major Position
Responsibilities:
Provides inter-division, U.
S.
Government, and other customers with the official vehicle for both receiving contracts and contract changes, maintains contact files that includes contract or pricing information, schedule and performance data for those contracts assigned and communicating with internal customers current contract status and contract requirements.
Ensures all assigned proposals, contract reports, and other documents and administrative requirements are submitted in a timely manner, and maintains documentation of those submittals.
Ensures all assigned proposals adhere to all Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS, DFARS, and etc.
) or other applicable regulations so that defective pricing actions and/or adverse publicity does not occur.
Interface with GD-/OTS Division Legal as required to complete terms and conditions review and approval as necessary.
Maintains proposal files and develops final proposal drafts for submission to customer while securing the most favorable terms and conditions for GD-OTS.
Negotiates proposals, contracts, modifications, changes or other contractual requirements within stated grant of authority.
Basic
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree with continuing education in Government Contract Regulations.
Experience:
Candidate must have at least one year of related administrative experience and be skilled in MS Office programs.
Government contract experience preferred.
Must have willingness to learn and maintain knowledge of commonly used US Defense contracting methods and contract types as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation gained through training or on-the-job experience.
Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software; Inventory software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Project Management software and Database software.
Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFARS and ITAR experience desired.
Computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface experience desired.
Requires strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling, team interface, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.
Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety.
Operate under minimal direction and exercise moderate to independent judgment in the selection of supporting data and contracting techniques to be followed within established procedures and in line with established precedent.
This is a remote work opportunity.
Candidate must be located within the Southern Illinois area to have the ability to report to the office as needed.
Occasional travel, including possible international travel, is required.
Pay Range (USD):
$65,247 - $97,871
