Job Description A Shipping Specialist performs various manual labor tasks including, but not limited to, box making, labeling, picking/packing orders, shipping /receiving, palletizing product, manually load trailers and replenishing.
The Shipping Specialist Supervisor is responsible to maintain accuracy, quality, and meet or exceed productivity quotas while overseeing entire shipping department progress.
Qualifications Continuous walking, standing, and handling medium size boxes in a warehouse environment.
Ability to select orders and replenish stock.
Ability to identify items on all paperwork including, but not limited to customer orders, bill of lading, manifest, packing lists, stock receipts, and customer labels.
Must possess organizational and problem solving skills.
Experience in the use of computerized inventory controls systems.
Communicates with supervisors, associates, and forklift operating skills Assists department head and other staff in the various important and sensitive administrative functions.
Trains, counsels and coordinates tasks with subordinate staff on a regular basis Participates in the process of selecting various subordinate staff Keeps a record of important information with accuracy and efficiency Must possess strong tact and diplomacy Strong Accountability and task management skills Critical and independent thinking Ability to deal with stressful high demanding situations Self starter and goal oriented Must be proactive and always on his/her toes Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting and forward thinking skills Must be a team player and willing to jump in Provide Administrative support to Department Heads as and when needed Technical and functional supervision of subordinates towards smooth functioning Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
